This facility gives you the ability to write off any debts remaining on selected billed items by selecting to view either the Whole School or Individual student options from the Finance > Processing - Write Offs' page.
Write off debt for unpaid items
To remove the amount owing from a student account, by whole school or individual student, the 'Write off debt' button writes off the outstanding debt with the selected billable item, becoming part of the school's bad debt. Where there is part payment received already, this will be retained by the school.
Voluntary payments eg. donations, are treated differently in the write off process.
All transactions are reflected in the Transaction Summary page.
